Help keep CHS a strong society and a leading resource for information and research on the history of the circus.

Help our efforts to record the rich cultural and social history of the circus and promotes awareness, appreciation and serious study of the circus. We serve as a resource for members, researchers, and others through our publication Bandwagon, conventions, this website and other activities, and are an advocate for the preservation and restoration of this historic heritage – all accomplished by dedicated volunteers.

Since 1939 the Circus Historical Society has served as a source for the collective memory of the circus. The mission of the Society is to help understand the complex and diverse past behind the world of the circus that we know today and make this information available to the public.
